Why popup maker create a pum directory within uploads area?

    After popup maker installation I discovered this file ==> /uploads/pum/pump-site-scripts.js
    which contains a script and this note:
    Do not touch this file! This file created by the Popup Maker plugin using PHP
    Nothing about that within the documentation.
    I wonder if it is safe?
