    Hello,
From the SEO point of view, should I have on every page and every article, focus keyword in H1 heading or not? If yes, why RankMath is not recommending to use Focus Keyword in H1 heading? I see RankMath recommend to use Focus Keyword only in subheading(s) like H2, H3, H4.

    Hello @radovand,

Thank you for contacting the support.

It is recommended to add the focus keyword in an H1 heading on every page. The reason we don’t have a separate test for it is that the post & pages already have a title that is usually rendered inside an H1 tag in the frontend.

Usually, the post title includes the focus keyword that’s why we don’t have a separate test for that.

Hope this clarifies your doubts. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch in case you need any other assistance.

    Thank you for your reply.
Since I am new to SEO, based on the suggestions given by RankMath, I changed all H1 titles to H2 to get the highest score on all my sites.
Unfortunately, now I have to redo all the sites pages.
Like me I’m sure a lot of people did.
So I recommend adding a test for H1 as well, otherwise you will mislead users who don’t have much SEO experience.

    Hello @radovand,

We are sorry for the unwanted trouble.

As H1 tags are the main headings of the page, it is recommended to use only a single H1 tag on each page. As mentioned previously, usually the post titles are, by default, rendered in an H1 tag. So, you can avoid adding more H1 tags to the page and separate the sections using H2 or H3 tags.

Adding the focus keyword to the post title can be, in most cases, thought of as adding in an H1 tag.

With that being said, there are existing feature requests, so we’ve added your vote to our internal suggestions lists. If this is something that we’re able to introduce, we’ll be sure to let you know.

    Hope this helps. Thank you.
