    Hello,
I'm stuck here when suddenly one of our client's website (.in) shows
this error message in Search Console ==URL is not on Google
This page is not in the index, but not because of an error. See the details below to learn why it wasn't indexed ===
I tried to resubmit the sitemap(.xml) and it shows the error below
=Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.=
I deleted my sitemap, created one using Yoast..didnt work, uploaded one in root folder still shows the same error. And I updated the robots file accordingly but still its a mess. Any help will be much appreciated.
    - It was showing fine for the last 3 years but now because of this error our client's website is not seen in search rankings.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’m sorry for the trouble caused, this must’ve been very annoying for you.

In regards to your issue, the error you receive on your sitemap can be caused by a number of issues, including the submitted URL or that the sitemap page is being redirected. We also have additional information on the error that your sitemap is not in the correct format and is an HTML file at the following link: https://yoast.com/help/why-is-google-saying-my-xml-video-sitemap-is-an-html-file/

Can you please try the aforementioned recommendation and let us know whether this resolves your issue?
