    Hello.

Unfortunately, even with the docs, I don’t understand 100% what a function in the plugin does.

Under what circumstances should I enable or disable Force Capture Full Order?

What exactly does this functionality do?
(We have connected other systems to our shop. e.g. Billbee.)

    Hi,

The purpose of the Klarna Order Management plugin is for you to be able to manage the orders directly from WooCommerce and not from the Klarna Portal to avoid having to work in both the Klarna portal and the WooCommerce system. So for example, if you update an order which makes the total order amount greater then the original order total, this update will automatically be updated on the Klarna order. But if you instead update an order which makes the total order amount greater then the original order total directly on the order in the Klarna portal, the WooCommerce order will not be updated with the new, higher order total. So if you then change the status of the order in WooCommerce to Completed, the old amount/the original amount in WooCommerce will be captured in Klarna but the new, higher amount will not be captured. If you have the?Force capture full order?setting active, the entire Klarna order will be captured even though the WooCommerce order total is lower then the Klarna order amount.

    Hello. Thanks for the information.

    That helped a bit.

It is very important for us that WooCommerce always contains the correct and complete order data. WooCommerce is in contact with other systems via webhooks – which must receive the correct data for further processing.

    To understand it exactly:

    • If I deactivate “Force capture full order” then I have to edit all my changes in WooCommerce.
    • If I activate the function, I can also adjust the order in the Klarna dashboard and the changes are transferred to WooCommerce.

    Question #1:

We should activate “Force capture full order” so that there is always bidirectional sync between Klarna and WooCommerce.

Then we are on the safe side if a shop employee happens to work directly in Klarna instead of WooCommerce.
Is that correct? Did I interpret that correctly?

    Question #2:

On the other hand: I can’t imagine that people don’t want a complete sync.
What is the point of leaving the function switched off? Are there situations in which this makes sense?

    Hi,

If you use Klarna Order Management in general, we recommend that you manage/charge the order directly from WooCommerce because that is the purpose of the plugin. The purpose of Klarna Order Management is to avoid managing orders in several systems and instead be able to handle all order management directly in WooCommerce.

Whether you should use the “Force capture full order” setting or not depends on what the order process looks like and how you would like to handle the order. If you also manage/charge the orders via a third-party business system outside of WooCommerce and Klarna, then the setting would be good to have activated. But if you do not use any other business system outside of Klarna and WooCommerce, you most likely do not need to have the setting activated.

Everything that can be done directly from WooCommerce can also be done in Klarna. But everything that you first do in Klarna, you are not able to do later in WooCommerce.

We have activated the function and are excited to see how it works.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. That helped me a lot. (:
