    Several reasons.

    1. I have never been able to work out how to make it work in 100% of use cases.
    2. Compatibility issues with newest version of ACF
    3. This is really a very simple filter that can be easily coded by anyone using the acf/prepare_field filter. It is really better to build filters like this for specific needs.
    4. And the biggest, I no longer have time to maintain and fix plugins in general.

    There is still a version of this plugin on gitub.

    Thanks for explaining and for all the work you put into it. I did not know about the prepare_field filter, I’ll give it a try.
    I haven’t had any compatibility?issues yet with this plugin and the new ACF version though.
