I am still choosing which multi-vendor plugin to use, and I am considering yours. BUT,your descriptions says “i nstantly pay vendors their commission as soon as an order is placed Or, pay commission on a schedule. Weekly, biweekly, monthly, or manually.”.

Why do the individiual store owners get a commission – aren’t they supposed to be paying the site a commission for each product the individual store owner sells? Kind of backwards, it seems, because that means that the individual store owners would have to go through the site owner’s payment gateway account, instead of their own. Would it not be better if the site owner does not come into the picture after the store owners create their individual stores, and the site owner simply takes a commission at every sale? In short, the less work for the site owner so much the better.

  • That’s exactly how this plugin works.

    Site owner has a site.

    Vendors create their store.

    Customers buy products.

Site owner pays the vendors whatever percentage you configured for each sale.

Except the customers do have to go through the site owners gateway. There’s no way to have a gateway for each individual vendor. That would be insanely complex, time consuming, customer service horrific, and impossible for YOU to earn money from your vendors. ??

Why don’t you just install the plugin and give it a try? It’s free. Not like it costs anything to try it out. You can see the number of sites that this plugin powers, we have about 4000 stores that rely on WC Vendors every day.

oh, by the way, I think you should change your description to:

“…site owner removes site’s commission based on agreed percentage, and then pays the balance to the vendor.” Because in reality, it is the site that gets a commission, or a “fee” for allowing the vendor to sell on the site, but the bulk of the payment really goes to the vendor. I saw some woocommerce users also raising this point on other multi-vendor plugin in Code Canyon. ??
