why the html code tag everywhere

Hello,
Thanks for the plugin.
I was wondering why the html<code>
tag is used everywhere.
I’m using a twentyseventeen child theme.
Should I style the code tag so that calendar would have the same font as everywhere else?
Is there anything I did wrong?

It is not like that withe the event page, only where i use [vsel]
