Hi, I tried to purchase items of my website and the order notification email I received goes to spam folder. The sender name is [email protected] instead of my business email.
    Refer the snapshot here https://ibb.co/64c125d

Why is it happen and how should I fix it? Please help.

Another question, for ecommerce website, is it better to use domain email instead of gmail?

    Hi there!

    Thanks for contacting us! ??

I understand the “From address” in order emails is showing up .main-hosting.eu domain instead of your business email.

Why is it happen and how should I fix it? Please help.

Could you check the From address field in WooCommerce > Settings > Emails section and make sure it is set to your business email (@yourdomain.com)?

Using your @gmail.com, @yahoo.com or similar public domain email address in that field will likely cause emails to land in spam folders due to mismatch between the declared sender (servers of Gmail or Yahoo) and the actual sender (your server).

I highly recommend reading WooCommerce Email FAQs for troubleshooting email related issues: https://woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/

Just to be sure – do you mean the email address that is used to send out the order email notifications? OR the email address that you display on your website to the visitors?

    Hi,
I use tongsunrattan@gmail as my email address now. My website hosting provider is hostinger and I yet to create the domain email @tongsunrattan.com.my in hostinger.

Yes my email addresss is correctly keyin. This is my woocommerce email setting, refer here https://ibb.co/C0fcDW6

Just to be sure – do you mean the email address that is used to send out the order email notifications? OR the email address that you display on your website to the visitors?
Currently I am only have this gmail address. Do you mean I have to create 2 separate emails for these purposes, using domain email @tongsunrattan.com.my?

    Hi @thamsj

Could you please navigate to WP Admin > Settings > General > and check if the tongsunrattan@gmail is set the Administration Email Address there?

If this email is set as the Administration Email Address already, I would suggest creating the domain email in your hosting provider and then update it as the Administration Email Address and check if the sender name is updated.

    Hi,

I have created a domain email account [email protected] and with an alias email [email protected]. I tested the email and it works fine with correct sender name.

But, one problem I encountered right now is
I set the alias email as “sender email” in woocommerce setting
    refer here https://ibb.co/6szHPPh

However, after I tried purchased at my store, the order notification email I received is from [email protected] instead of [email protected].
    refer here https://ibb.co/02zVKYm

Note: I set [email protected] as the administration email address.

May I know how to fix this?

    Hello,

I’d recommend checking for any theme/plugin conflicts. The best way to do this is to temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and switch theme to Storefront. If that resolves the issue, then re-enable plugins one-by-one until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. Hopefully, you were able to find a solution to your problem! If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.
