You are using a version of PHP that has been EOL’d for almost two years, you need to upgrade. 7.1 hasn’t received security patches since December 2019.

Libraries we use upgrade their requirements. To keep the plugin secure and functioning, versions needs to go up. It’s not a stretch to require the minimum version of PHP that is still getting patches and fixes versus versions that aren’t.

Ok, it would have be nice to get an heads up some where when updating the plugin stating in the previous version or something that it detected using a PHP version that would break in the next version. Because I can’t see how I would have known this would happen.

    Your plugin description still states

“NOTE: This plugin requires PHP 7.1 or higher”
