Why to increase version number while uploading theme to www.ads-software.com

    We have just built a beautiful theme using Simple Job Board, while uploading to the www.ads-software.com themes directory we are getting following message:

    You need to upload a version of DYNAMO higher than 1.0.1.7. Increase the theme version number in style.css, then upload your zip file again.

    It’s a very first release and we want to start it from 1.0.0 but why so? Looking forward for useful suggestions before I increase the version.
