• Hi I am not sure I am even asking the right question?

I am attempting to get a blog list or introduction to each post on my homepage. I tried making the homepage static and followed the instructions for making a static page for a website

Creating_a_Static_Front_Page. ie- different from the normal default.

I think I have the wrong end of the stick though and cannot seem to get anything to work – I thought if I write either a new page or even perhaps a post that they would automatically go to the homepage making an introductory blog list on there.

This website https://topmarketingstrategies.com/ is one I often go to which is based on wordpress and has what I require , a homepage blog list – NOTE: all different posts. The examples being it says ‘…more’ on each section to expand the post to a new web page(forget the WP system just one second). How do I achieve this in wordpress.

I am a complete beginner – is it something coded I have to do as I am apprehensive about anything like that ? Perhaps a bit of good guidance could really help. Its likely I have not worked out what the static help page was trying to tell me and what is was for. I know it would give a homepage with anything I want on it I think – but thats all I get. I’ve read it a few times and cannot work out whether it will let me do the blog list I want automatically or not even get close.

    PLEASE NOTE –

I am happy to just use pages without using posts and set the reading settings to what ever is necessary. All I aim to do is get the blog list. I read another help page saying ‘Loop’ was possibly something to do with it ?

I am clearly new to anything internet related so you might want to go easy on me. I do really appreciate your help and it would be kind if you could tell me if you cannot help.

    Thank you all !
