Why won’t my post update — error message

  • I just posted to my blog successfully, but then I wanted to make a small edit. When I try to update the post I keep getting this message:

    CGI Error
    The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

    And the update doesn’t work. What’s this about?

    (Before I posted, I updated to 2.8.6)

  • Do you only get this error when trying to edit a specific post or does it happen with all posts?

    It just happened today with this post. But when I read your reply I decided to see if it happened with other posts. First I tried again with this morning’s post and lo and behold it worked fine! I didn’t get the error message.

    Maybe it’s just one of those annoying little glitches where you have to wait a bit and try again?

    It could have been a server hiccup. It happens sometimes.
