    Hi,

Currently our server is setup as follows:

    1. Using Cloudflare to provide CDN & protection.
    2. Using ConfigServer Security & Firewall for our server.

So, in such a case, do we still need to use WordFence to protect our WP site?

    Hi @chcw,

Naturally, there can be overlapping features which could result in more of your site’s resources being used during scans etc. when installing more than one security suite/firewall. Wordfence does have some modules that can be disabled but not all products do so be careful in which features you like/dislike from each. Ultimately, the choice of which security strategy to implement on a site is that of the administrator.

I find a good approach when forming an opinion is to take a look around the plugin provider’s blog posts for news about protection from the latest and emerging threats: https://www.wordfence.com/blog/category/vulnerabilities/

You can also read more about what Wordfence protects you against and how to use it in our free learning center: https://www.wordfence.com/learn/

If you have further questions about specific features, by all means contact our excellent team at presales @ wordfence . com.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
