• Hi!

I′m just starting this multisite web and is not working. I want one site in english and another in spanish. I do not know if the structure should be the one that I made or the one I ask for in question 1.
    I made this:

    Main site: yc-hates-us.com
    subdirectory 1: yc-hates-us.com/en
    subdirectory 2: yc-hates-us.com/es

Then I installed the Astra theme in the main site′s WP and, to test it, I made some minimal color changes in the Theme hopping to see this changes in the directorie′s WP, but I see the chantes are not transfered to them

1-Am I doing the structure wrong? should I instead do:

    Main site*: yc-hates-us.com
    subdirectory 2: yc-hates-us.com/es

*this one acting and the english one, without the need to do one saying “/en”

2- Is it normal that if I make changes in the main site′s theme, they do not transfere by themselves to the subdirectory′s one?

    Thanks for your help

    Yes.

Every subsite is INDEPENDENT: with its own active theme, plugins, users, etc. You can enable the same theme and plugins on the main and multiple subsites — but their settings are totally separate from each other. Subsites do NOT inherit theme/plugin settings from the parent site.

I want one site in english and another in spanish.

For your use case, perhaps multisite may not be the ideal solution for you.

Consider using a multilingual plugin instead: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/multilingual/

    Good luck!
