Wicked handy in many ways

Custom fields plugins are fantastic, but there are times where the content in those custom fields need to be (in a sense) portable all the while being intermingled with other copy. Enter Shortcake to solve this deceivingly complex problem in a very elegant way. It’s one of those plugins that handled problems I didn’t even know I’d run into when trying to take an approach like this. It’s full of wonderful surprises and niceties (e.g. pulling in your custom TinyMCE editor styles into the preview it generates) that make it really pleasant to work with as a developer. I think I like it more than my clients will.
