I am writing because I think there is a problem in the plugin with the alignment options.

Let me explain, the alignment options (wide and full) of the tablepress table block do not work. Whichever option is checked, the table always wraps to the width of the post content. However, on the editing screen I do see that it works correctly.

I am using the theme Generatepress + Gutenberg and the alignment options work correctly in other blocks within the same post, so I think it may be an internal Tablepress problem.

Do you know what can happen?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I have also seen that, but don’t yet see why this happens. For me, this workaround helped: In the toolbar for the block, in the “Three dots” menu entry, choose the “Group”, to wrap the “TablePress table” block in an extra “Group” container. If you then configure that one for wide alignment or full alignment, and maybe set a corresponding value in the “Content” and “Width” fields in the Settings sidebar, the table should stretch to that width on the frontend as well.

Hello Tobias! Thank you very much for answering.

It is curious, but I have tried with the solution that you propose and it works correctly. Whether I wrap the table in a Gutenberg “Group” block or a GenerateBlocks “Container” block, the table adjusts correctly to the different widths.

The problem is present only when the table is alone. What things…

Another thing I’ve noticed. The error has to be linked to the option “Enable horizontal scrolling, to facilitate the visualization of the tables.” With this option active the table does not adjust, however if it is deactivated the table behaves differently. makes sense for you?

    Thank you and continue!

    Hi,

it looks like the two tables are in blocks/containers that have a different alignment/width assigned, right now? The top one is “alignfull”, from what I can see, but the bottom one is “alignwide”.

I suggest to play with these settings on the containers and even the elements inside the containers.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks Tobias. I have finally solved it by wrapping the tables in a Generateblocks container block.

    Thanks for the help.
