Widget 3D WP Tag Cloud-S not showing

Hi,

I suppose you have used an old version of the plugin and after installing the newest one your cloud disappeared.

If so, you have to make your old widget instances compatible with the new plugin version. For that purpose just go to your WP ‘Widgets’ page, open each 3D WP Tag Cloud-S instance and save it without any change. That’s it.

If this is not the case, please describe what happen. Is it your first plugin installation?

Hi Peter,

Yes I have been using this plugin for about a year now and love it.

So I guess it will have updated recently to a new version.

I have tried going to /Appearance/Widgets and editing this plugin:
a) without changing anything
b) with changing some settings

Still it is not working for me with WP 4.8.

I am using Sphere.

I have now tried deleting and reinstalling the plugin, with the same result.

When we are done here and this issue is fixed, I would like to pay you $10 for use of the plugin. It has worked fine up till now.

Now I got it. Well, sorry to say it but the problem is caused by the new WP 4.8. I’ll see how to achieve compatibility. It will take time. So the only you can do is either to switch my plugin off or to go back to WP 4.7.5. I’ll keep you informed when I solve the problem.

Thanks for this. I have installed the new version and the cloud now PARTLY works as before.

I am displaying a cloud of tags used in posts.

What used to happen was that the Post Count would appear in brackets.

What happens now is that the first part of the Tag name appears in brackets. For example, if the tag is “Harvard Medical School” then the word (Harvard) appears in brackets instead of the number of posts tagged with Harvard Medical School.

At the same time, I notice that I have far more tags than the 120 you set as a maximum. The sphere looks too cluttered.

If (at the same time) there was a way for the plugin to select the 120 most-used tags that would be a positive enhancement for me. Or perhaps it already does so?

Hi Finn,

I believe now everything is OK. You can download latest fixed version.
Regarding the tags: Yes plugin loads most used tags first. You can verify it by setting the smallest number to show – 5 and then increase it to 10. BTW tag counter works normally. May be you have got wrong impression due to the doubled tags last time. After you check the new version let me know if something else in not right.

Sorry to re-open this case but I cannot for the life of me find how to open a new ticket.

Recently I have been having two unusual problems with my website. I deactivated “3D WP Tag Cloud-S” and the problems have disappeared. Please can you help.

The problems were:
1) My website https://www.thechurning.net was not scrolling in Safari. Fine in Chrome. No scrolling in Safari
2) In the backend, at Appearance/Widgets two things happened:
a) If I enabled Accessibility mode I could edit text widgets but not save them
b) With Accessibility mode disabled I could save text widgets but not edit the text

Deactivating “3D WP Tag Cloud-S” has caused both issues to disappear. The site scrolls in Safari and I can edit and save text widgets.

Reactivating the plugin I find the site still scrolls but I can only edit or save text widgets, not both.

Is it possible that “3D WP Tag Cloud-S” is causing this issue?

(Currently I have turned off the plugin on the site.)
