.widget a not accept CSS changes

First yes I am working on a child theme.

The site: https://microcreations.com/~patti/gabrie/ – it’s slow as it’s a testing site.

No matter what I do I can’t get the .widget a to change to the color now assigned. I’ve even tried changing it through Google Typography.
