Widget admin

We updated to WordPress 5.5 and now on the widget admin page, I can’t edit the widgets because the drop down isn’t working. When I click on the arrow it doesn’t do anything. I was told by our web host that our theme was interacting with the latest WordPress update, and when they rolled the update back the widget page worked again. We use a Colormag child theme and I noticed that Colormag had an available update, so I applied that and attempted to update WordPress again. I’m still seeing the same problem.
Does Colormag have a conflict with the latest update that would cause this?

Sure, this is the widget admin screen: https://fordlibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Widgets.png Not a lot to see– just when I click on the down arrows, nothing happens.
