Widget and shortcode still work in maintenance mode

  • When I enable the maintenance mode, the widget “productsearch” still find products and sites using the category shortcode “product_categories” don’t redirect to the defined maintenance page in the settings.
    Are these not covered by the maintenance plugin or am I doing something wrong?
