• My site is currently using the Twenty Twelve theme, and I have created and activated a Twenty Twelve Child theme to accommodate all my tinkering. The URL for the site is https://www.CCTPP.com.

The home (or Front Page) of the site is configured to display my latest posts, and it displays a sidebar. Otherwise, the site contains the usual mixture of pages and post categories, and I have set all the PAGES to be full-width, with no sidebar displayed.

I would like to have the Front Page be the only page or post category to display my sidebar. Or, to put it another way, I would like for all the post categories to also be full-width (as are the pages), with no sidebar.

I had hoped your Widget Content plug-in would be the answer for my problem, as it seems to explicitly imply that it can do what I want done. However, it does not seem to work and I do not understand why that is.

After installing and activating Widget Content, I went to the Appearance / Widgets screen, then clicked on the Categories section of the Main Sidebar. There I found the new Widget Content area. I clicked the “All Posts”, “All Archives”, and “Category Archive” selections, then selected “Hide on selected” from the drop-down menu at the top, then clicked the “Save” button.

Nothing seems to have changed, as the sidebar is still visible on all my category posts. Am I doing something wrong, or is the plug-in not suitable for what I wish to accomplish?

I am by no means a skilled CSS or PHP coder, so I would appreciate as much specificity as possible in your response.
