    Hi Everyone,

I just installed the Widget Context plugin by Kaspars Dambis.

I started experimenting with it with my widgets on my WordPress site and thought that I had achieved what i set out to do, and clicked save. Loaded the page that i had wanted to alter what widgets showed only to find that all the widgets had disappeared.

I attempted to fix the issue only to dig myself a bigger hole.

Uninstalling the plugin does not fix the issue and neither does replacing the lost widgets.

It has only effected pages where I attempted to use the widget.

I wanted to see if the issue was effecting all my site so I added a new widget just to ‘single posts’ that just showed recent posts with the title of the widget being “f”. The newly created widget showed up on all posts except the original post. But when I removed the widget it did not remove from the actual site.

I really really appreciate any help with this.

Happy to answer any questions etc…

    Thanks everyone

    Hi Everyone,

Just thought id post the solution to this, its not the best in the world but it does work.

Because it only effects the selected pages you tried to use the plugin in on. Just copy the pages content into notepad to keep the correct format and re post the content with the same title and content. Making sure to note the url of the page to readd the content at the old url addresses to avoid any broken links.
