• Twenty Eleven theme – soulsistercircle.com
I just installed this and want the widgets to be displayed in the right column for every page – currently only showing under my “blog” page. I have a static front page set in my settings.

I don’t want people to be able to comment on every page that I create – where is the setting for this?
    thank you

  • For commenting, you can disable them by going to your wordpress dashboard -> Pages -> (quick edit on the page) choose commenting is allowed or not allowed.

For the widgets….have you installed any plugin which is meant for widgets and their behavior…?

Thank you for the help on the comments – got that corrected.

No – I have not installed any plugins – I haven’t done much with this site it’s all new so I don’t understand why the two columns are not being displayed on every page and only on my Blog Page. Any advice?

Try this.. Go to dashboard -> pages -> edit. On the right hand side or below the posting area you will find page attributes. Select default template there and save it.

Each of the pages, even the Blog page was originally all set to the Default Template. However, I went through and did as you said and nothing changed.
The only page that is correctly displaying my widgets on the right hand side is the Blog page. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

I don’t understand why your sidebar is not showing on other pages. Try updating your theme now or if you can, install twenty ten. If the problem persists then its probably php code related. I am a newbie as you are when it comes to coding.
