You’re using the Virtue theme, yes? I just tested that theme and had no problems.

Try deleting the widget and adding it again.

    Yes, I use Virtue theme.
    Will I loose these testimonials?

You will lose nothing. Just delete the widget from the footer then add a new one.

I did and nothing… It works when I limit the number of testimonials in the Static mode, but not in Cycle

Thanks for trying that. Does the cycle widget work in the theme customizer?

    Unfortunately no ??

Puzzling. Thanks for trying that. It sounds like a conflict with another plugin. The next step is to change the widget back to cycle mode, deactivate plugins one by one, and check the page after each one.

Aside from that, contact me with a temporary admin login so I can take a deeper look. Or you can send me a complete backup (NS Cloner – Site Copier) and I can work on it locally.

I am having the same problem. I have narrowed the problem down to a button that launches a jotform. “Request A Proposal” near bottom of page. Site is under development.

    Not working with button

    Working w/o button

    Any ideas?

    rentasota,

https://198.89.123.156/~lindsayl/services/ is working for me, both the widget and the jotform button. Here’s a screencast. There is one JavaScript error in the theme. Am I missing something?

    Chris,

Thanks for the quick response. I only tested in Firefox regular mode and if the button is present the testimonial single cycle shows all testimonials.

I noticed you tested in Chrome incognito mode. After further testing, I found the testimonial single cycle works in Chrome incognito or Firefox private modes. See Screencast showing both working and non-working versions.

I did a second screencast with Chrome in regular mode to capture the javascript error.

What is the difference between private/incognito and regular modes that makes it work?

    (@cdillon27)

My hunch is caching. Incognito and private modes don’t cache anything locally. If the content of the second version of the page was not different from the content of the first version, the browser cache may not have been updated so either the jotbox script or the plugin slideshow script was not loaded.

So clear your browser cache or simply do a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) on that page.

Testing pages in incognito/private mode is also a good way to mimic how your visitors will see your site for the first time.

I just wanted to provide a final update and let you know my support request is resolved. I followed the browser cache instructions and got part of the way and then received an updated script from JotForm and now everything works perfectly! Thank you for your excellent assistance.

Thanks for the update. I’m glad to hear it’s all working.
