plugin for sidebar that allows for editing

  • Is there a plugin or way to have something in the sidebar that allows a user to edit its content? I’m looking for something that will let the user post an upcoming event and change as needed. I have a calendar (by Kieran O’Shea) that shows events on the calendar page but not in the sidebar.

    I added the WYSIWYG Text Widget but when I load it into the sidebar (in the admin section) it does not show in the sidebar. The sidebar is widget ready – any idea what I’m doing wrong? How do I troubleshoot this?
