    Hi mw1750

HTML5 placeholders are not valid in IE 9 so perhaps a little down the road. Also I keep the input there in case there is a validation error, so the user does not have to re-type everything.

so how can I hide the values?

You can customize the label in the options panel. For the widget if you leave the label blank it will disappear. It will work for the widget but not the Input Form Shortcode as there will be a “:” left.

The input form was not designed with the intent of letting the user remove the labels.
