Since installing a cache plugin and Autoptimize, I’ve been having problems with the WPP widget.

At first it displayed bullet points and the thumbnails were oversized.

I looked on this forum and found this link, so I enabled the Ajaxify widget and clearing cache.

I went back to the widget and saved for a Cardview Compact, without categories being displayed. Yet, the categories still display on on my site?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @emmalaa,

Thanks for opening a new topic and for the additional details.

I went back to the widget and saved for a Cardview Compact, without categories being displayed.

Alright, so it’s not clear to me what you mean with “I went back to the widget and saved for a Cardview Compact, without categories being displayed.”

Does that mean that you unchecked the Taxonomy checkbox but the widget is still displaying the category?

    Yes, that’s it.

Alright, that might be a bug in the plugin. Will have a look once my workload eases up a bit.

For the time being please go to Widgets > [Your Sidebar Name] > WordPress Popular Posts > HTML Markup settings, and under Post HTML Markup find and delete the {taxonomy} Content Tag. Scroll down and click on Save to apply changes. That should remove the category link from your popular posts.

Yep, bug confirmed and fixed! I’ll release a new version of the plugin with this fix (and other changes) ASAP.

    Thanks for reporting it, @emmalaa!
