widget made in blogger doesn't work in WP

To say I’m new at html is an understatement. At any rate, I’ve made my first countdown widget. It works fine in blogger, but the picture the widget is attached to does not show up in wordpress. I’ve been playing with it for days and I can’t figure it out, so I’m just going to ask … What have I done wrong?
Here’s the html as I have it. I used a layer code to attach the widget to the picture.
