• You committed an updated that removed your widget from about 100+ projects that I have hosted for clients. I received an email that updates were rolling from Twitter to their website and couldn’t figure it out. The changing the names of your plugin widget coupled with 100+ projects set to automatically update caused a blank widget message to show on tons of sites. Can you fix this issue on your end?

    Hi,

Plugin is re-written to support the new Twitter logic. You can display your Twitter timeline by using the Twitter username now.

    Thanks

i like many others fully appreciate the updates to your plugin, but the renaming the widget I don’t think was needed. That renaming removed the widget from many projects that all use automatic updates for plugins, themes, and WP core. Automated updates are becoming more and more common. I’ve already gone through about 50 projects so far and put the new widget in place at a cost to me, which is my time. Clients don’t fully understand the underpinnings as it were of WordPress and can’t grasp why someone would just change up things. So I can’t just invoice them for that time to go in and replace the widget. I really don’t understand why such a rogue update was put out when you have so many active installs that are going to be effected. The update functions great and thank you for it, but I would think you could’ve updated the API and the layout of the widget without creating a new one.

    Hi Johnathan Evans,
    Thanks for your valuable feedback.

I have already forward your feedback to our developer.
We will take care these tips in future.

Once again thanks for your feedback.

Settings > Easy Twitter Feed Widget fails to display a field to add our Twitter username. We are required to add the widget to the sidebar, and re-configure. I must concur that having an update blow-out all previous settings is a pain for just one website. What a task it must be tending to the same adjustment for multiple sites!

    Hi @tonybearblog,

You have no need to go to Settings > Easy Twitter Feed Widget Settings screen to enter your twitter username.

Please go to Appearance > Widgets.
Drag Twitter Timeline (Easy Twitter Feed Widget) widget to the sidebar.
    Enter your Twitter Username
    Your are done.

    Thanks

This is a huge problem for me. You HAVE to consider backwards compatibility. All widgets on every site that have been created with this plugin are now gone. This is unreasonable.
