  • Sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re having in integrating the form onto your site. So that I can try to replicate the issues that you’re describing, would you be able to tell me the name of the WordPress theme you’re using? This will allow me to create a parallel environment in my local setup.

    Our theme is Twenty Twelve

    Hey there,

I went ahead and setup my local environment to use the Twenty Twelve theme. I then went to the “Widgets” area, where I then clicked and dragged the “MailChimp Widget” into the area marked “Main Sidebar”. In doing so, I saw that it began showing on the right sidebar on my WordPress site.

Here’s what my Widgets area looks like in my WordPress admin:

Can you confirm that setting up your Widgets area in the same way does not show a sign up form on your WordPress site?

If you’re looking to actually insert a link to your sign-up form instead, then yes, you can choose to add a “text” widget to your WordPress site and insert the following code:
    < a href="https://eepurl.com/yk7BH" target="_blank">Sign up for our free newsletter!</a>

I noticed that your example code was missing a closing tag, so make sure to include that so the link works as expected.

Also, are you able to add any other widgets to your page successfully? This will help us to isolate if the issue you’re experiencing is specific to our plugin, or if it’s an issue with successfully being able to add widgets in the local setup.

Okay so I updated the link, I removed the 2 widgets so they aren’t causing any interference, still nothing. Our previous developer I know had changed some HTML but I am not sure what would cause it to not show up.

Is there a page of code I need to check?

Making some progress….now the sign up form shows up….but ONLY on the “Blog” page and the text from blog posts lays over it.

I was hoping to have this display on our “Home”, “About”, “Follow Us”, “Contact Us” and “Blog” pages next to our current content.

If our previous developer edited HTML would this be causing the issue? The widget is installed and dragged to the main sidebar. What can I check if it needs a correction?

At the least to not have the blog over lap the form?
