Widget not working after 2.8.1 update

What version were you on before?

The 2.8.1 update addressed some newline to br conversion issues, but didn’t change anything with regard to how the feed is loaded.

I would like to get this fixed for you!

Thank you for your help.
I was on the 2.8 version on wordpress 4.0

What I noticed in the code (via inspect element in chrome) was the class ik_fb_facebook_link doesn’t exist in the css. (But I’m no expert, so not sure if I’m doing this the right way)

I’ve tried to put a feed in a post on the site, but it has the same problem.

The theme I’m using is Sparkling from colorlib.

in the status it sais “Your Facebook page cannot be accessed via the Graph API
Please verify that your Facebook page is Public, that it is not a Personal account, and that it has no Country, Age or other restrictions enabled.

I’ve re-entered the page ID and keys and this is now fixed. But it’s still not displaying the text.

I’m having the exact same issue. I have updated all my keys and IDs but it still doesn’t display correctly. I get this error where it should be appearing from the widget on my page:

Warning: Wrong parameter count for nl2br() in /home/wps3dar1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ik-facebook/ik_facebook.php on line 963

I also receive this error “Your Facebook page cannot be accessed via the Graph API
Please verify that your Facebook page is Public, that it is not a Personal account, and that it has no Country, Age or other restrictions enabled.” … but all of that information is correct and nothing has changed since the update.

I’ve turned it off for the time being, but the site is https://www.sedariders.org in case that is of help to you.

Thanks for the reports, everyone.

I am checking this out – there hasn’t been any change that would affect whether or not the Graph API is loading correctly, but we did make a change that is related to the PHP warnings in this thread.

We will address those today!

We have pushed out a minor patch that addresses the nl2br issue.

It is working perfectly now.

For what it’s worth. After the update I was still missing the text in the feed. But after a check of all settings, noticed the character limit in message and description was set to 0. I thought it was empty before, but maybe I just made a mistake.

Annyway i’ve put in a value now and it’s now displaying the text correctly.

Thanks for letting me know about the message and description character limits – that is very odd and might be worth looking into if it occurs after another update.
