widget on homepage only?

  • I have a cookie banner widget from jetpack but once enabled it seems to re appear everytime I open the widget panel at the bottom. clicking ‘close & accept’ on the cookies banner also closes the widget panel so back to square one!

    it does say on Jetpack that it can be set to show only on homepage if you set it to that but that’s also dependent on the theme

    what’s the case here? is it possible? or is there another way to show a cookies banner for Singl?

    Could you share a link to your site? Ideally clicking that should close and accept the cookie, which should make it remember the setting. I’m wondering if something else is afoot.

    I thought clicking it would remember and not appear again but each page you go on, if you expand the widget section at the bottom, it comes back again!

    I’ve ditched it for a different cookie widget!

    Are you able to confirm what the settings are set to on the Cookie Widget. The reason being is because it sounds like the days in which the cookie shows need to be reset: https://jetpack.com/support/extra-sidebar-widgets/cookies-consent-banner/

    yeah you wont be able to access it, it’s set to private until everything is set right. I have it set to close after the user clicks on it

    looks like I’ve found another plug in now tho
