  • I’m deeply sorry as that was irresponsible of me to recommend that without testing it. If you have FTP access to your site, you can delete the wp-content/plugins/widgets-on-pages directory and then your site should be accessible. Then re-install Widgets on Pages if you want.

that’s strange… i did the same but now it is ok
tell me do you have any backup of your site?

anyway the problem seems to be on a check on another plugin black-studio-tinymce-widget… was it the only one plugin you handled as widget on page?

Its okay, you tried to help – that was nice of you. What is FTP acces? Maybe someone from wp can go to my site and get it back. I have no backup…!? Yes that was the only plugin I had problems with, so that was the only one I edited

Your hosting provider should be able to help with FTP access. Nicer ones can even delete that directory for you.

Ftp is file transfer protocol access to your website, it means you have the control of anything on physical directories.
It’s a very sensitive way to acess your data.
Just to know, did you change the edit just in ‘widget_on_pages.php’ in Plugins->Editor?

    and did you also edit the $arr = array(id …. in $arr = array(‘id’ …
    and restored it?

Okay Ill try to talk to them about it.

I probably didnt do it right. I took the one widget and edited it. I looked for the $arr = array (…) -part and could not find it…

Thank you both for using you time and expertise!! ??

    You very welcome, Thea
just take care that the only plugin had to be edited was ‘widget_on_pages.php’ in Plugins->Editor as Chris adviced before.
    No other plugins
maybe the wrong action was that one

Thank you Chris Dillion, your suggestion worked on 4.1.

Another new user.. Any similar easy solution?

Interesting. I have a site running 4.1.1 and the plugin is working. I was about to update to 4.2.2 but am a little concerned now. Is there anyone else who didn’t have issues with the plugin not working?
