Widget or shortcode for the donors list?

Nope, but it’s definitely on the list. I actually have three or four widgets I want to do if I can get some free time (and the Release Candidate passes testing without too many serious issues).

Ok thanks, is there anything I can do in the meantime manually? The donation or donor list that is shown in the wordpress dashboard – is that a custom post type that I can try to call into a template in php and exclude anonymous?

Well, you can try using something like Better Recent Posts Widget (another plugin I support) and set the post type to scan for to donors. Any widget that can pull posts by post types should return a list of donors if you use the donor post type.
