I’ve been using Widget Options for awhile now. Today on a client site after upgrading to WP 5.1.1 the widget page just won’t load. When I disable Widget Options, it’s fine. But of course, now all widgets show up on all pages.

I don’t see many support responses either so I’m hesitant to upgrade to the pro version.

  • I agree that this looks like an older link and see the most recent file update as 17 days ago.

@jpascha @candyappledesign Yeah, it’s been updated for a few weeks. Testing takes time and I want my QA testers to check the changes thoroughly and won’t have any errors or any other conflicts before asking plugin users. If you still have any issues after using this version please let me know and will be very happy to replicate them. Thanks!

As stated before, and tested again just now, this version doesn’t seem to fix the issues. The options page still constantly locks up while using it. Tested on WordPress 5.1.1 with PHP 5.6.

Agreed, I’ve tried this version as well and the widget pages are still locking up. Tested on multiple sites running different themes and versions of PHP with no improvement on any of the sites.

@jpascha @candyappledesign Tried and working fine on all our testing here. How many tags and categories do you have? Thanks!

No, it does not fix the issue. As long as LastPass is active, the widget page locks up. If I open a different browser without LastPass it works fine.

All my sites are on PHP 7.2 and the latest version of WP.

This is CRAZY and has been going on WAY TOO LONG.

@craftsman My apology for taking too long. I just want to take each possibilities and fix the issue perfectly. Thanks!

@craftsman Working here with LastPass installed too. It’s really weird error.

@jpascha @candyappledesign are you available to send error logs? Thanks!

Hey, I’ve already sent you some php error logs before, and there doesn’t seem to be anything related to the plugin. However it does seem like LastPass is the problem, I’ve now tried to use the widgets page on an instance of Chrome without LastPass and then it seems to be working without a hitch. I’m using the most recent stable build of Chrome (Version 74.0.3729.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)) if that’s any help.

@jpascha sorry, just double checking if there are somethings I’ve missed. Really weird error. I have several people tested the plugin and seems to be working perfectly. I’ll probably just push the updates I have the revisit this issue. Thanks!

I just saw the comments about LastPass causing the issue. After disabling the LastPass extension in Chrome, the problem does go away.

Interesting about LastPass. It’s not practical to have to disable that, though. I use LastPass every few minutes during the day, it seems like.

People have experienced slowness with other elements of WordPress in conjunction with LastPass (I have not personally):

They aren’t being answered, so maybe some of you guys with LastPass Premium can hound them about this? It’s hard to tell which end it’s on. Hopefully, phpbits can still fix it for us.

Last week, the Beaver Builder Plugin had some hotfixes to address AJAX issues with LastPass, Grammarly, and Keeper extensions – maybe there’s some info to be gleaned from that?

I have WordPress multisite installation. It has the same problem as the super admin. I have created a new user as admin. I logged in as admin. (Not Super admin.) Problem solved. I also used firefox.

Anyone still having this issue with the latest LastPass version? Still working on all my browsers and can’t replicate. Thanks!
