Widget Removal 2-26-2012

What bottom of page widget? There’s no such widget in WordPress by default. Is this a plugin, perhaps?

Does your widget areas contain a Bottom Widget or Footer widget or something like that but it’s empty or it doesn’t exist at all in your Widget areas?

Perhaps my explanation was erroneous.
The theme is Weaver II. On the widgets page, I dragged “Categories” to the “Page Bottom Widget Area”. It now shows on every page at the bottom as
“Categories

Uncategorized”

It does not appear in the “pages bottom widget area” as something I can drag out, or delete.

Well, some themes create a widget area and code something in it by default, and that only show up when you’ve no widgets selected in that area.

So that must be the case then, right?

@ elalak, the site did not have that widget area until I dragged “Categories” to the “Page Bottom Widget Area”. I want to remove it.

Can you please, post a screenshot of your Widgets area with the Page Bottom Widget Area expanded so I can see what you mean?

@ elmalak, I don’t see an option to attach a file. The area is clearly visible on the site, immediately above the footer.

I did also post on the Weaver II theme support site.

You cannot post images here. If you posted on the Weaver II site, they will no doubt answer you.

Yes I can see it on the site I am talking about how it looks in the Dashboard so I can understand what’s the problem.
