Widget Set for Front Page Shows on Pages 2 etc. Fix Needed Pronto

Previously the widget worked properly when I set “show on selected” and “front page.”
It only showed on the front page.
Now, with the same setting is shows on subsequent pages. These are ads and this is not good. Needs to be front page only.
How do I fix this? Thanks.
