• I want to edit the widget settings of this plugin, but All of the boxes in the widget setting page are not working.

(the boxes are red boxes of a attached image.)

I try to change widget’s settings, but I can’t click the checkbox.

I tried in troubleshooting mode, but still cannot change the settings. Even I try after deleteing all the theme and plugins, I can’t change the settings. After Reinstalling the WordPress, It still is.

What should I do to resolve this problem? If you need any additional informations about my blog, please ask me to give the informations.

    Hi @wjdqh6544,

Just tried checking and unchecking these checkboxes on a test site and everything seems to be working normally so I’m not sure what’s going on.

    Questions for you:

    • Does this still happen if you disable all plugins except for WordPress Popular Posts?
    • Does this still happen if you use a different theme (eg. Twenty Twenty One)?
    • Have you tried using a different browser?
    • Do you see any error messages on your browser’s console when you try to interact with these checkboxes? (Open the console, refresh the page, try again and see if there are any error messages on the console)
    • WordPress version?

    Hi, @hcabrera

I checked the list which you give me.

    1. Yes, I disabled all plugins, and ONLY WordPress Popular Posts Plugins enabled, but the same problem occurs.
    2. Yes, I tested using both the theme that I’m using and the default theme (Twenty Twenty-One), but the same problem occurs.
    3. Yes, I tested in Chrome, Naver Whale, Microsoft Edge, Even my smartphone, but It still is.
    4. Except for theme-related errors, no unusual errors were found. but, some alert is displayed. alert is “JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.4.0”
    5. In my server, Installed WordPress Version is 6.2.2 (latest version)

What is the cause of my problem? I don’t know why occur this.

    Thanks for the update, @wjdqh6544.

Would it be possible for you to make a recording of the issue and upload it somewhere (eg. Youtube, Streamable, etc) so I can see the issue in action?

    Thanks for the video!

That’s very strange. I’m honestly not sure what’s going on, it seems to me like a WordPress issue but I couldn’t say for sure.

I just tried adding the block to a Group block like you did on your video but still everything works as intended (this is Google Chrome on Windows 10).

    Things I would try:

    • Reinstalling WordPress (go to the WP Dashboard > Updates > click on “Re-install version 6.2.2”).
    • Disable your browser extensions and try again.

Other than that I don’t have any other suggestions at the moment.

I tried both reinstalling WordPress and disabled all extension, but the problem is not solved.

I think this problem is the bug of wordpress, so I will nquire of Fixing WordPress Forum about the problem.

Is this possible because it operates in a docker environment?

    WordPress is operated using docker-compose.

I’m going to make a new docker image and test it out

Not sure to be honest, I don’t think Docker would cause this but I guess it won’t hurt to check.

I found cause of the problem. @hcabrera

In my case, The problem occurred when the widget form was set to the “Widget Group” state. (the widget form was set to the “Columns” or “Group”, there was no problem.)

If cannot understanding well, You can check the link (image link) below.

Oh, that’s unexpected. I’ll try doing that and if I can reproduce the problem I may file a bug report to the WordPress team. Thanks for sharing!
