Widget side-by-side

  • Hi,

    I am a WP beginner trying to place two separate widgets so they appear side by side instead of underneath one another on my webpage sidebar. Is there any way to do this?

    I am using the WP Twenty Eleven Theme. https://www.capitolhillguide.com

    Would like the rss widget next to addthis widget, or better yet, up in top right of page next to search bar.

  • There are many ways to do that

    By “cheating” the position of the RSS block and positioning it in absolute and then right after the search bar

    or better if you want to include in the future more widgets in the header place is to put the PHP code in the header.php that get some widgets

    not sure if by default twenty eleven has a header section on the widgets page, i have not checked this point
