Widget Text Does Not Show Up On the Form

Hello! I am assisting someone with their site and they are using the Solon theme. I grabbed the MailChimp code and placed it in the box but the only text that showed up was Subscribe to Our List. I checked my MC settings to be certain the form was created correctly with the proper HEX codes and everything was correct. However, the widget does not appear to be working.
