Widget with no settings:how to set number of posts?

Hello,
I’ve got plugin working nicely, but the widget has no settings and shows at once all 10 posts set to be used in plugin settings, which play nice for post/pages but not for a widget.
I would like to have at most 2-4 posts displayed at once in a sidebar, so is there a way to make it work that way?
Also is it possible to add custom css just for a widget?

BTW, I am considering PRO version, just need to know what’s the license’s type : personal limited or unlimited (sites)? developer (allowed to use on sites for sale too) ? or?
