    I am using responsive theme and I want to turn off the homepage widgets, kindly advise. Thnx

    You could drag empty text widgets to the specific widget areas for the front page.
    But it’s probably better to create a child template, and adapt front-page.php by removing the relevant php-section that outputs the widgets.
