Widgets disappear

I have successfully set up custom HTML widgets in my Home Page Sidebar, Primary Widget area, and Secondary Widget area. I have also backed them up, which was very good, since periodically, all of my custom HTML widgets just disappear. Gone. I have an image widget and a Search widget, and those do not disappear. I do not have any errors in the html, and can see no reason (no changes, etc) that would cause the widgets to disappear. The backups are able to be uploaded and replaced successfully, but I never know when it is going to happen. Would you have any ideas why this might be happening? We are hosting our site with InMotion Hosting, if that information is of any help. Thank you.
