Widgets disappear, plugins "appear" to not be there, yet cannot reinstall

This is the third time this has happened to my site. The first time, I had to completely start over. Last time, I was able to find other plugins that were like the ones I had originally, so could install them. I don’t know what to do this time. Has anyone else had their plugins and widgets disappear in a second? It must be a bug. I don’t think it’s my computer, though I know that’s a possibility. I was originally hacked at the end of September, early October and it had a re-direct to porn for anyone trying to access my site by iphone. This is why I had to completely start over. Now, just the plugin and widget wipe out. Help! I’m a charity for pediatric brain tumors. I do everything myself and I’m not very good–it took weeks of my time to sort this last one out.
