Widgets Disappeared?

What were the last changes you made before the problem started? Can you try undoing that change to see if it causes the problem?

What version are you using? You could try updating to an early copy of 3.1.6 if you’re using 3.1.5. Get it here.

I’ve checked your style.css and nothing obvious pops out.

There have been a lot of changes within a short time. I’m also working with another person so the number of changes went a lot faster than if it was just me.

Right now, we’re going over the backup css and comparing it to what it is now. Finding a few things.

The old version and the new version have been tried, still a problem. Back to being updated version.

Update, we’ve checked everything in the css and php files. Nothing that has been changed there has caused the side widgets to be removed.

OK, can you try with a different Theme and see if they show (eg twentyfourteen) which will show us if it’s a customizr issue.

Also, what changes have you made to php files? Did you make them in a Child Theme?

@coyote_red – have you lowered your site logo at all? I managed to delete (or hide off-screen) my sidebar when I tried dropping my logo too much using CSS.

Different theme worked, and yes they were made in a child theme.

What we ended up doing was scrapping the Child Theme, re-loading the regular theme, and starting another Child from scratch. Adding bits of code one at a time to restore all the changes.

For whatever reason, the widgets are back, even with all the code re-installed.
