Widgets disappeared from Widget areas

    I have a lot of Widget areas that were defined using the WooSidebars plugin. Each of these were filled with specific widgets, specific to the page the Widget area was assigned to.

    However now, all my widgets have disappeared from the sidebars and all the widgets have disappeared from the Widget areas in my WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets configuration page.

    The only exception to the disappearance is that the Widgets assigned to the three normal Footer widget areas are OK: the Widgets are working fine in the built-in Widget areas. Therefore the problem is specific to the Widget areas defined with WooSidebards plugin.

    Please advise how to get my widgets back?

    If you scroll down to the bottom of your widgets page, there should be a section called “Inactive Widgets”. Note that clearing of widgets is usually associated with a theme switch.
