• Hey everyone! So would anyone know why my widgets take at least fifteen minutes to load? Help would be great. If doesn’t even load when I do ctrl-f5, sometime I have to wait all night for it to load. Thanks!

Well I know that other people can see it, but is there anything I can change to see it immediately? Kind of hard to edit it when it doesn’t change.

Is this problem that the widgets admin page is loading slowly, not the widgets being displayed on the front end?

Does it still occur if you temporarily switch to the default theme and deactivate all plugins?

What is the URL of your site?

You remind me of skrillex haha. But it’s the, Frontend? Meaning the website itself I assume, it’s not the widget page, just loading the widgets onto the site.

    Thanks!

Your page loaded in about four seconds when I looked it. Have you tried accessing the site from a different computer or using a different browser? If so, do you still get the slow load time?

Yep, I have used two different computers, and two browsers on each computer, and it is the same speed.

Are you viewing it when logged in? is it any different when you view it when you are logged off?

I see you are using WP Super Cache, so I’m seeing a cached version — if you are viewing it whilst logged on, perhaps you are seeing something different.

In the sidebar the only widgets I see are an empty ‘recent comments’ and a register/login with social buttons served via an iFrame. Are these the only widgets you have?

I have Super Cache disabled, I should uninstall it. But yes, those are the only two I have.

And what I do is I have two browsers open, one with me logged in, one logged off, and it still takes a long while for it to load:/

    Thanks still!

Hey there. It seems that deleting WP Cache fixed it. But now it seems that when I try to place widgets on my footer, nothing happens.

Now as a note, I did take out all of the footer code when I first started, to take out the powered by junk. I am assuming that affected my footer. But then again, I had the new footer.php, and just uploaded it, and nothing still shows up.

It looks like you took out the widget areas, but left in the widget area definition. I’m not sure why putting the file back in place hasn’t fixed it, however your theme cannot be supported on this forum as you are using a commercial theme. Your theme vendor should be able to help with this problem at the site where you bought the theme: https://www.elegantthemes.com/forum/
