Is anyone else having problems with the Widgets section under the presentation tab? I can’t move them into the sidebar anymore.

  • Yes, I can’t, well can you help me activate the widgets so I could organize them, I get this message:”No Sidebars Defined”
I went to that link, no real help. Can anyone help me here please?

I think I figured it out, though I’m not sure how. I was having the same problem, I think (My widget controls displayed but i could not drag anything anywhere). I think it had to do with some problems I was having with my FTP client, which was not properly auto-assigning uploaded files as either ASCII (for files such as .php and .html) or binary (for images and the such). I installed a new client (Filezilla) that properly handled the uploads, reuploaded the entire “wp-includes” directory, and VOILA! My widgets are working now.

    Hope that helps.

Can you explain that in plain English? I don’t have a clue how to do what you said.

I click on a widget and I get a blue bar on the right with an Edit link. I click the Edit link and the thing disappears, and nothing happens.

Is there a simple way to get this to work?

Or does someone have step-by-step instructions for those of us who are not computer geeks?

I sure would appreciate some help on this.

    Thanks

Does anyone really answer our questions?
