    New install.
Widgets not working. I enabled the accessibility, no change.
I deactivated all plugins, no change. (Installed all plugins automatically.)
Resident widgets don’t work, external widgets don’t work.
I’ve got the site set up for 3 columns, with widgets left and right, I don’t have a left column (articles/posts at far left).
I’m not a techie. Please don’t talk code, or delving into the program. I don’t have the skills.

  • Great! We are getting closer. Let me check and come back. Please wait.

I think you reverted to your original theme and your widgets too are working.

Some of them are … some of them aren’t.
So far, every Jetpack widget has failed – I’m now looking under the kazillion widgets on file for an email signup form (4 or 5 start) as the Jetpack one doesn’t work.

I should have 10 widgets on board but there’s only 4. Bad ration of works to don’t work.

Yes. I just asked you to wait, but you were too impatient. No problem.
Now did you update the theme? If not download the latest version and install it. Before installing, deactivate all plugins. You can activate them after updating the theme. Also update the old plugins if any and delete the inactive ones. Once these things are done, your site should be absolutely OK.

BTW – I can’t grab and move. I have to delete and rebuild.

I have to delete and rebuild.

    Delete what?

I have to delete and rebuild the widgets I have selected to use because I can’t grab and move them.

The latest version is on board … it was uploaded Tuesday night. Where do I find the Theme that will let me update? If I go to Install Themes, it says it’s installed – no option to re-install.

    Updated on 17th Aug.

If you have the same updated version, it’s OK. Similarly check for plugins that may need update.

OK, now I have a zip file on my desktop. What do I do with that?

Check if it is the version I linked above. If so, delete the current theme and upload the latest one.

    (@dayna-leigh-cheser)

I downloaded the link you sent. It says 1.1.5
How do I load from that zip?
For the plugins, I used the automatic plugin installer – Browse and upload buttons – I have my doubts that would work for the theme. I don’t think the theme goes in the plugins list.

Deactivate all plugins, and upload and activate the theme from your dashboard. Once the theme is installed, activate plugins one by one.

HOW? Where on the dashboard? I see that I have Weaver II loaded under Appearances>Themes>Manage Themes … and I can get to it under Install Themes. Neither place gives me a browse-upload choice to get it from my desktop to WP.

Delete the theme from where you see it and upload the zip from install themes.
