Widgets not working and page is set to static?

    I am trying to apply the custom post widget and a few other widgets, i have been trying for a few hours and cant get it to work. And I set the front page to static.

    Nice website, next to your issue with your widgets i see
    your footer could use some attention too. And your content area
    would really pop out with a soft shadow applied!

    Hello,

    the reason why the widgets don’t appear on the front page is that you have set the page as your “Posts page” under “Settings => Reading” in your WordPress Dashboard. You will have to set your “Home” page as “Front page” instead.
